Aussie, Back of Bourke.

I got invited, lucky as I seem to be these days, to join my dad on his business trip to Australia. So here I am, in the outskirts of Perth, Western Australia licking the sun and relaxing my pregnant self.

It strikes me at least once everyday that I am in what I myself and I suspect several other people believe to be, the most exciting place on earth! The only island in the world that is a country and the only country in the world that is a continent. With its vast area of 7 692 024 km2, it counts for 5% of the world's land area at approx 149 450 000km2. It can fit an array of european countries put together in a puzzle and consist of about 20.million fun loving sun loving blokes and sheilas! It is also, ironicly (given the inhospitable nature) home to a very VERY large range of animals and insects. Scientists aren't sure wether the number of insects are 100.000 or double that amount. Safe to say, there are species that have not been accounted for. And the chance that a good number of them could kill you quite rapidly, is staggeringly high. Just for informations sake, ten of the most venomous snakes in the world are australian.

Horray!
